Save the date for Whatcom V.I.E.W. – Virtual Interactive Experience Week taking place May 17 – 21.
What is Whatcom V.I.E.W.?
· A menu of Zoom options spanning a week, for future students to join and engage with
· Options will span from sample college classes with WCC instructors, conversations and activities with student organizations, and support sessions with WCC Outreach and Financial Aid
§ Programming so far includes:
· Engineering, Nursing, the Intercultural Center, Visual Communications, Sustainability at Home, Running Start Information, Cybersecurity, and more!
· Day one of Whatcom V.I.E.W. will even include an opportunity for participants to safely visit the physical campus (in real life – we’re so excited!) to say hello to the Outreach team, grab some swag, and take a self-guided, masked, and socially distanced, tour of campus
· Participants can engage in whichever of the sessions they are interested in – That may be just one, that may be all
· After attending at least one session, participants may submit an online form to be entered into a raffle for one of four $500 WCC Scholarships!
· On the last day of Whatcom V.I.E.W., Friday, May 21, the Outreach Team and Financial Aid will be available on Zoom for 4 hours of drop-in time for your WCC bound students to ask questions and navigate their enrollment steps for Fall 2021
Who can attend?
· One of the few silver linings of COVID19 event planning, is that we can really open up our event audience! Whatcom V.I.E.W. welcomes any and all future students, of any age. Some sessions may feel most relevant to those who are planning on enrolling soon, but there should be something interesting for students of any age group
Online registration is now open. Visit the Whatcom V.I.E.W. webpage to explore the current week program. Session details will continue rolling in, and be finalized come May 17.
