From One to Many- college and training navigation support for Lummi families

Are you a Lummi Nation student or community member? Do you like snacks and gift cards? Do you want support with accessing a college or training program? Do you want help getting free money for college? FuturesNW and the Whatcom County Library Systems are co-hosting an event series for Lummi Nation students and families to get personalized support from Educational Advocate Kathleen Solomon of the From One to Many program to help guide you through:

  • Financial Aid completion (FAFSA or WASFA)

  • Scholarship applications

  • College applications

  • College and training program exploration

When? The 3rd Sunday of the month at the Ferndale Library conference room between 3-5:00 pm.

All attendees will receive snacks and a gift card for attending and getting support!

If you are wanting support completing a FAFSA or WASFA you will need to bring the following information:

ALL ATTENDEES:

• Your driver’s license or state ID.

• Your income information. This includes bank statements, a W-2 or pay stub, and a past tax return.

• Your parent, if you are 24 or younger.

• Your parents’ financial information. Parents should bring a copy of their previous year’s tax return.

• Additional financial information such as child support statements, TANF or welfare information, real estate, investments, family business or farm info.

FAFSA FILERS MUST ALSO BRING:

• Your Social Security Card or green card.

• One parent’s Social Security Number (if they have one).
