Defense Against Distracted Driving Scholarship 

Open to incoming and current college students with at least a 3.0 GPA. Must submit a 500- to 1,000-word essay on a topic related to distracted driving.

John Lennon Scholarship

Open only to U.S. college students between the ages of 17 and 24. Three scholarships with prizes totaling $20,000 will be awarded to the best original songs submitted to the competition.

Point Foundation: College Scholarships for LGBT Students

For HS seniors. No citizenship required. History of leadership &/or allyship in issues that affect the LGBT/Queer community. Must plan to continue this leadership/allyship in the future. No specific GPA but seeking candidates w/ high academic performance.

The USDA 1994 Tribal Scholars Program

Provides full tuition, employment, employee benefits, fees, books, and room and board each year for up to 4 years to selected students pursuing a bachelor’s degree in agriculture, food science, natural resource science, or a related academic discipline at one of 35 federally recognized tribal colleges and universities.

The DAR American Indian Scholarship

For Native American students of any age, any tribe, and in any state striving to get an education at the undergraduate or graduate levels. A one-time scholarship is awarded to Native American college and technical students of any age, any tribe and in any state, who have financial need and a minimum GPA of 3.25.

EngineerGirl Essay Contest

This essay contest is for HS students – men & women – in grades 3 thru 12 (ages 8-18). To apply, applicants must write an original essay on a given topic related to engineering. Winners in each grade category will receive the prizes listed below:

First-place winners will be awarded $500.
Second-place entries will be awarded $250.
Third-place entries will be awarded $100.

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholarship Award

($28,000) - The JRF scholarship is awarded to outstanding high school graduates who plan to earn a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year college or university. Additional fellowships are given to JRF Scholars to pursue opportunities to work and study abroad, and for post-graduate education.
